Heart Institute
The St. Luke’s Heart Institute is the first private heart facility of excellence in the Philippines. It provides patients the latest diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in the management of cardiovascular diseases.
The Institute is composed of adult and pediatric cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, radiologists and pathologists, ably supported by nurses, physical and rehabilitation therapists and medical technicians. Together, they form the cream of the crop in their respective fields in the country.
The St. Luke’s Heart Institute has acquired nothing but the latest and most innovative technologies to complement the knowhow and skills of its cardiovascular medical team. These include the FD20 AlluraClarity Intervention Suite and Xper FD10 CATHLAB system for cardiovascular imaging, 256-slice CT Scanner for capturing the body’s skeleton, organs and blood vessels in full 3D images, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), a non-invasive magnetic field scan to produce detailed, three-dimensional images of the heart and other neighboring structures, Single Photon Emission Computerized Tomography (SPECT) for evaluating coronary artery disease and heart muscle viability, among others.
The Institute recently joined the Heart Attack Team to rapidly assess and manage heart attack patients. The Heart Institute significantly reduced the door-to-balloon time for the acute coronary syndrome patients.
